YVI magazine mission is to be a window to the world about the Portuguese culture. It is a concept in terms of editorial, in its genesis, aims to give global visibility to the work done by the various personalities that mark the national media agendas and make room for younger, new professionals, who do not have much visibility in the media. It is the image of a contemporary Portugal I wish to show. Who are these Portuguese? What do they think? And what they do?
This publication was created several headings, aiming enhancing and promoting a wide range of themes, with the purpose of reaching more people and projects implemented at the national or even international.
The publication is targeted at a global audience that does not speak Portuguese, so it is translated in English and Spanish. I tried to create a publication to a very specific niche market, the descendants of the Portuguese emigrants and also the rest, in particular, the new generations of Portuguese who emigrated in recent years. Hence, the link is part of some community pages, is also promoted through facebook, twitter and Pinterest. The initial target was women readers, between 25/45 years, with a high level of educational and info-included, ie, dealing easily with new technologies, although it has a great increase of males readers, since that are more proactive in the comments.
