One man, Mr. Melo, decided to build a Museum with objects that people make exist. Objects with living memories.
The life-saving hat, the toasted bread that fed a clandestine love, the alliance of revolution that ended the war, the doll that can not be broken, and so many others.
This is the Museum of Existence. The objects and stories are from the people who opened the door to Mr. Melo's house, all over the country. He told them about the Museum of Existence and they decided to be part of it. They lent and donated their own living memories. Your objects.
The future of museums is within our homes. Who says it is Orhan Pamuk, Nobel Prize for Literature 2006, author of the book Museum of Innocence, which tells the story of Kemal, a man who built a museum of objects from the happiest moment of his life: the Museum of Innocence , in Istanbul, Turkey. Mr. Melo met Kemal and decided to build his own museum of objects from the happiest moments of people's lives.
This is the Museum of Existence. A house. In Joane, the collection of the Museum of Existence also includes objects borrowed from people of the municipality.
The Museum of Existence, Amarelo Silvestre co-production, Viriato Theater and Vila Flor Cultural Center, has passed through Viseu, Ovar, Sever do Vouga, Guimarães, Torres Novas, Coimbra, Nelas, Alcobaça, Alcanena, Águeda, Gafanha da Nazaré and Lisbon .
