Paralell worlds

Written by  yvette vieira fts josé zyberchema

Francisco Maya composes various artistic dialogues that are apparently opposed, but in the end complement each other. Are parallel worlds that aim to address not only the universe, as the world around him.

In his work there are several dialecticals. There is a part of paint and other photography.
Francisco Maya: And yet another that is a mix of everything. There is drawing that is where I started, because I think any artist should know how to draw to learn the "draft". There is another stage that is the painting and in the end I fell in love with photography, but I lacked something and that's where the design comes in. I think an artist is a restless mind and consider myself as such, so we have a need to experiment, to do new things and was able to combine these three components.

Parallel worlds why?
FM: Because I think that we are not alone in this universe so big, there's so much to tame. My painting has something to do with this cosmic component. Moreover, keywords are parallel arts.

Your works either in painting or in photography are in black and white with gray tones and some color. This was the guiding principle for the various works?
FM: I always liked black and white. Even in the design always used these two colors, my painting and photography had a color phase, but I've always clung to the black and white are colors that fascinate me, I got shades of gray with brutal contrasts.

There is a third component in this exhibition is a photographic manipulation of some of the works. It is the graphic artist who is behind these works?
FM: Yes, quite. In fact, the basis of most of these works are drawings, then I photograph these sketches, mix with photography, print on canvas or in a medium which I think is the most appropriate and apply paint over.

This is a new phase which aims to develop longer?
FM: Yes, of course. I do not know if this will follow other, I think that art is to try and give vent to our imagination.

Why these parallel worlds just now?
FM: Because for several years, at least four, I've been working hard in this new phase. The artist often closes in order to create, we are in our world and in this period I was working hard and I though the time had come to show the public what I was doing.
