If you ever need my life, come and take it

Written by  rita pina ft vitor hugo pontes

The consecrated choreographer Victor Hugo Pontes will present at the Cine-Teatro Louletano, next Saturday, September 29, at 9.30 pm, the creation of a dance "If you ever need my life, come and take it", in absolute debut to the south of this show based on the work "The Gaivota", of Anton Tchekhov.

The choreographer's challenge is to explore the text of "The Seagull" as a starting point, since it is, among many other things, a succession of attempts at creation and existence. The reflection on the creative act is one of the strongest points of this piece of Chekhov and one of the most interesting to Victor Hugo Bridges.
According to the choreographer, there is the composition of plots from banal events, the drawing of the characters as ordinary human beings and the play of the creative act, in a kind of avant la lèttre theater-within-the-theater. N '"The Seagull", as in "If ever you need my life, come and take it," the trivial becomes tragic, ordinary life becomes creation.
The price of tickets is 10 euros, going to 8 euros for those over 65 and under 30 years. The Friend Card is applicable to this event. The show has a duration of approximately 105 minutes (with break) and is aimed at people over 12 years old, and has free entry, upon availability of the room, to young people who are 18 years old or who are still 18 years old at present year under the project "És Cultura 18!".

Cine-Teatro Louletano has just joined the 5Sentidos network, and thus, the South of Tejo, the only cultural structure in the field of performing arts to be part of this important network of cultural programming that integrates several of the most emblematic showrooms at national level .
Initially created by five cultural structures in the country in 2009, the network was later expanded to 11 partners, in 2013, and currently has 12 associated structures.

5Sentidos aims to support and stimulate the development of the performing arts in Portugal, organizing touring shows and supporting the production of new creations through co-financing, co-productions and residences. The network has a strategy to strengthen the performance of all partners and to support artists and respond to their needs through concerted actions in the field of co-production, presentation circuits, artistic accompaniment and international partnerships.
Cine-Teatro Louletano, as an integral structure of 5Sentidos, has the expectation of developing processes and work experiences based on the exchange of experiences, strengthening the connection with the partners. Streamlining artistic creation and circulation, in particular by enhancing and giving conditions to Algarve creators to present their proposals outside the region - and contribute to the formation of new audiences are also bets of Cine-Teatro Louletano by integrating this network of cultural programming.

The equipment that integrate the 5Sentidos are: Viriato Theater (Viseu), Vila Flor Cultural Center (Guimarães), Ovar Art Center (Ovar), Time Space (Montemor-o-Novo), Academic Theater of Gil Vicente (Coimbra ), Maria Matos Municipal Theater (Lisbon), Teatro Micaelense (Ponta Delgada), Municipal Theater of Guarda, Porto Municipal Theater, National Theater São João (Porto), Teatro Virgínia (Torres Novas) and Porto Rivoli Municipal Theater. Campo Alegre (Porto).
It should be noted that Cine-Teatro Louletano has also been part of the Blue Network - Rede de Teatros do Algarve, whose objectives are, among other things, to support the creation and regional cultural production, making use of existing infrastructures and reinforcing the artistic offer in the South of the Country.
