How does an idea arise for an illustration? It's your daily life that inspires you ?
MC : It depends on the project, if it is a book , I'm conditioned to the text, if it is an exhibition with a theme is already set I will have to observe that, if it is a request also has certain limitations, until now most of the drawings were made freely and without doubt that what inspires me is life, are the people that surround me, is what I see every day, recent or ancient of other artists , who tell me things, things I read , things I feel , work conclusions I draw .
What is harder for you in your very personal creative process ?
MC : It's hard when I cannot give the ideal answer for a particular work before the delivery date idea. Usually I end up remembering a better solution months later.
How do you see the look of others in relation to your work ?
MC : I like it when somebody sees itself in my work or who perfectly understands the message, the content is the most important.
How do you see Mariana , the designer, the world around you ?
MC : I see myself as not a practicing designer, ie , my training is design is not my profession , I sometimes work for some friends , but surely that's not what I do in the future . I think, however, that I apply in my work unconsciously many of the things I learned in college .
