It's a road movie by Ivo Ferreira.
It is a journey through time that hardly is, only focusing on the hangover of the Carnation Revolution. The specter of that past is the motor of the narrative for Peter the actor Gonçalo Waddington, who inadvertently discovers some diaries that can shed some light on the mysterious disappearance of his father after the April 25th, 1974. It's a Portuguese road movie, a physical journey, but especially an inner one of the main character, searching for answer about his family and himself. I really enjoyed the photography; there are very beautiful images that are in memorable, especially the game of light and shadow. The work of the actors is another of the strengths of this drama, I highlight Waddington always permeated in this air of a rebel without a cause that fits perfectly in the film, Joana Seixas, Rita, his girlfriend and Adelaide Joao, Mrs. Agnes, grandmother, complete the trio that contribute decisively for a good time. I emphasize also the soundtrack and its excellent quality, although I have not been able to obtain complete information on this subject. The script deserves some attention, though creates the appropriate suspense. Overall it's a good exercise of Ivo Ferreira. Good movie!
