Silence 4 were one of the flagship bands of the nineties that after a hiatus of 13 years returned to regain the Portuguese public.
A concert of silence 4 carries us immediately for an auspicious time, at least in appearance, of a country where we use to breath hope in the future, progress and abundance, which translated into a greater openness of the Portuguese Society for Europe and the world, for all that was colorful, different and modern. Silence 4 were one of these examples, stood out from the rest because they sang in English, in a nation that was proud of its Portuguese accent . And although there were many dissenting voices, these young musicians from Leiria eventually achieve the national tops quickly and the young Portuguese. I think the most emblematic theme of this "revolution" in fact was " borrow " that stormed the Portuguese radios. Now past all these years, the band came back and everything change , the country I mean. They, the same silent four remain equals to themselves, with the exception of David Fonseca that cemented during this hiatus a successful career as a solo singer. The fact is the most nostalgic or not Portuguese returned to fill concert halls to hear again the melancholy musical repertoire that is the hallmark of this band. Like it or not their sound no one remains indiferent.
