It is a television miniseries based on a book by Maria Filomena Mónica .
This is the journey of a rich family in the Azores over 10 years in the nineteenth century. A television adaptation of a novel called " corners " , of the author Maria Filomena Mónica also here in the dual role of screenwriter, which helps to trace the route not only the Câmara clan , but above all it depicts with the utmost fidelity the reality of the Azores , Sao Miguel . I love this kind of programs that print the accuracy in everything from the sets , the wardrobe , and the historic environment and to the proper time for the speech, is always an asset to have a moment of great quality fiction in a public channel. " An Azorean family " is a great bet of the programming RTP and in my view we win in all aspects, from the script to the more technical issues to the photography, some of the background images that are wonderful and worth sitting and enjoy life on the islands.
