The convversation of other

It is a documentary series that "travel" through the various neighborhoods of the city of Lisbon.

The first signs of change are always visible in cities. In this case Lisbon is the backdrop for a series of documentaries that illustrate how the residents arrive and look at their neighborhood. A record is made in multiple voices, anonymous faces forming part of the plot of these locations, which in the end makes it equal to many other while different. These are the people who inhabit this space and tell us, through their life stories about the place where they live, or where they work and the changing for better or worse that pierce heir area. They talk about what they know. I like this kind of record without much human quirks that merely show that after all the cities are made by people, for people. It is a documentary survey, a social portrait of the country and its inhabitants. It is an excellent work which should also continue for other Portuguese cities and not be restricted only to the capital.

Unitl de truth

It is new formats of the grid of SIC television

"Until the truth" hurts. Honestly, a program that seeks to "solve" cold police cases through two mediums, for god sake, that only works in fiction. Is a television format that cannot fit anywhere, I dont understand the purpose of this program. It adds absolutely nothing about what is known about the crimes and from my point of view, turns out to be a superfluous exercise in every sense. What I find most puzzling is the presence of Rita Ferro Rodrigues and Francisco Moita Flores. Both have serious career, So I thought and nothing would predict this outcome. To say the least is a very unusual TV format. No words can justify the waste of people and resources to a program that leaves much to be desired. I even think that is an insult to the intelligence of viewers who watch, as the mediums said nothing, more add nothing to what has been said and published about the crimes in question and even doubt the "truth" of this characters. Given this, I just have to say that if this program intended to supplant the TVI similar, they are wrong again. Cancel it.

The night of futrebol

It may not be the best news program on sport, but is without a doubt the most fun.

Normally I do not see sports programs. By the way, I rarely watch the broadcasts of football games, but I confess that as the country turned to be in love again by Futre I, like all other ordinary mortals was surrendered to him. That press conference where he announces the purchase of Chinese football players was simply priceless and became immortal. After this great historical moment nothing was the same in our country. Why? Unlike the politicians who massacred us with more austerity measures, Paulo Futre brought creative solutions to solve the financial crisis of Sporting and perhaps the nation! We must praise the ingenuity of that man. For all these good reasons I decided to attend the opening night of his show called "the night with futrebol", and it is exactly as he says, is a program tailored to his personality. No more no less. Everything revolves around his figure and how he approaches life in a relaxed way, even when it comes to football. Some of the items are simply hilarious. When he decided to play a three touch football on a tennis court with Figo was just insane! Notice how he was sweating profusely, while his opponent seemed so fresh and dry? Only a Portuguese would remember to do that. It is innovative in every way. He gets to the point of finding work for the unemployed. What makes Paul Futre so special? The usual. His inherent inalienable feature which is to be so Portuguese with his generosity and a genuine personality so that better is impossible. Plus, he knows how to laugh at himself without been ridiculous and is all that and much more can we expect from futrebol. Do not miss it.

For something completly (in)difirent

It is a talk show designed by the comedian Cesar Mourao for the nights of Sic Radical.

Cesar Mourao was a talent was discovered by Herman Jose, who won his place in the alternate channel on television, Sic Radical. The program entitled "for something completely (in) different, leaves a mark on the viewer whether it likes it or not. Beginning with that title so long and unusual that breaks with all the rules of communication. The scenario is another issue that deserves a special mention, shocks by its whiteness, extremely unusual on television, but strangely it works, because then we are "forced" to focus our attention on those who do matters , the interviewer and his guests. Entries of humor, shows the creativity and talent of this great comedian, a small gag that took place in the hairdresser was memorable. The interviewer even has some shortcomings, he is not a journalist, but at least compensates these flaws with a few more humorous remarks. It is a television format that does not leave us indifferent, so I give it my highest score.

The flavours of the island

It is a program that addresses the gastronomy of the nine islands of the archipelago of the Azores.

The national gastronomic wealth is undeniable and it is essential to our cultural identity as a people. "Island Flavors" is a very original television format on the Azorean cuisine. It is a program that does not just show the recepies; António Cavaco has a broader approach of the virtues of the islands that are part of the archipelago. The scenarios he chooses to demonstrate the preparation of the dishes are a visual delight, I stress that the episode that shows the volcano of Capelinhos. The food is the main focus of the "flavors of the island" looks simply divine, unfortunately I have not yet tasted most of the dishes presented, on the other hand, the program demystifies the absurd idea that circulated recently that there is little diversity cuisine in the islands, an argument that falls apart as we see the richness of the various ingredients and how we can cook these traditional dishes. The presenter is another added value of the program for his relaxed attitude and brand image, the long whiskers! It's a good example, and I am not yet tired of saying it over and over again a good example of public service and deserve also to be issued in the main national channel. I hope that this program will open your appetite and I leave the link at the end of the text to help you even more.

Rear window

It is the ione of  the program nationally that focuses only on the theme of cinema.

Let me begin by saying that this television format, on RTP 2, has many, I think, very interesting items that focus on cinema in the broader sense of the word. I also like the approach that it makes to the Portuguese and European productions, but what I cannot understand is how someone like Mario Augusto continues to defend the idea that you should ask simple questions to the movie stars. Okay, time is scarce in these news gatherings, that result in constraint moments limited by the producers due to the rain of requests from various media around the world, but that does not explain everything. Someone who truly loves cinema, does not questions consecutively, which was most difficult thing in this role? Or what was the biggest challenge for that particular character, which is almost the same. Journalist questioned in order to add something to an audience, even if it "bothers" the superstars a little or maybe not. Let me give you an example, many years ago Julio Isidro, one of the best presenters of public television, had a variety show (which I do not remember the name) and interviewed one of the sacred monsters of the American movies, Dustin Hoffman. The result was so hilarious that I still recall that moment because it showed a different side of the superstar, more caring and fun, which included in the end a comparison of nose sizes between the both of them. Why this happened? Thanks to the relaxed and unusual questions of the interviewer, who above all did not resign himself to the basics. Of course, not all interviews go so well and so often much depends on the person you are interviewing, but it is expected a bit more creativity from a professional with many years of experience. However, overall the program is very good.

Civil society

It brings people who are dedicated to improving your life.

This program led by Fernanda Freitas mobilizes more than 60 organizations with solutions in several areas. It is the added value of this format, one of the best examples of a television project with high quality information. Each issue covers a different theme discussed by a panel of experts that help to clarify the doubts and questions from viewers. Another strong point of this civil society is the group of journalists, who make an average of 4 news reports by programs, reinforcing the different views on the topics under discussion. I appreciate above all the coverage, the broad spectrum of views of the issues addressed, which ultimately helps to decode and demystify prejudices and preconceived ideas about a subject. The presenter, Fernanda Freitas, is one of the best professionals in the field. Ask relevant questions and gives guests the space needed in the program. On the whole, civil society plays the role keys were they propose to clarify and answer the questions that are posed by society in general.

State of grace

Another bet of the public television in national humor

The state of grace is a reflection of a country. The humorous sketches mirror the television news with the stamp of quality of a set of great actors and comedians proven talent on the national scene. It is the bunch that used to work for the comedian Herman Jose, who grew up with this brilliant professional humorist and that identity factor through a corrosive and intelligent humor seeking the joy, through the "dolls" that crowd the television landscape and social events. Again this bet in humor on prime time on RTP1 has won, is one of the strengths of the public television programming, in my opinion. Interestingly, the RTP must be at the national level, the channel that bet more over the years has create humorous shows and kind of keep that tradition, with new values and other types of TV formats, as I already said it in this magazine. In good time. The Portuguese need to laugh, if not they'll cry to a reality more and more difficult.

Students pathio

It is the everyday academic life where there is room for discussion.

I have my doubts on how a show about the academy can be seen as public service television, though, some of the topics under discussion are of great relevance to viewers. One of the debates I watched with great interest was placed on special education at the university, or students with special needs who enter this world, their difficulties in terms of architecture, or the level of learning support, the classes and how they are viewed by colleagues. The approach of this issue was made through a wide range of dissimilar opinions that contributed positively to a discussion that I consider relevant. For young people with almost no experience in television, patio displays a program grid that includes dynamic and interesting stories and little notes about the extracurricular activities, but nevertheless avoidable are the repetitions, the famous balance of the school year should be eradicated once and for all and should rely more on items that appeal to young students outside the academy. Overall, I think it's a program that should be issued only on closed circuit television at the university, because it has a very limited audience.

The art house

It is a cultural tour to promote the events that occur on the island.

Recently a study was presented that suggest the disrupts of regional television, with the excuse that it has fulfilled its historical role, in my opinion we need to rethink what public television service means once and for all, because I think everyone confuses this theme with the financial vitality of a channel. The programming of regional channels do not only obeys an economistic logic are the reflection of reality where they are located, are the mirror, are a communication vehicle for a specific audience and as such, has its importance and makes sense for them to stay, although I still think that there are programs that simply had to be canceled for lack of innovating content. It is clearly not the case of the house of the arts. This magazine promotes cultural events that occur on the island in a professional, thorough manner, at the same time it is elegant and a program with quality. This show present small notes that allow the viewer to stay abreast of events and personalities that characterize the regional cultural agendas.
